ABOUT THE EVENT

Pioneer DJ Presents the 2023 Canadian National DMC DJ Championships. This competition is based on the world renown, classic 6-Minute DMC Showcase Category. The 2023 Pioneer DJ National Canadian DMC DJ Champion will move on to represent Canada at the 2023 Technics DMC World DJ Championships in November.

Submit your best 6 minute video to DMC Canada for a chance to represent Canada at the 2023 Technics DMC World DJ Championships!

This event will be facilitated via video submission and is OPEN TO CANADIAN DJS ONLY! It follows the format of the Classic 6 Minute DMC Showcase Category.

KEY DATES: VIDEO SUBMISSION OPENS SEPTEMBER 15TH, 2023.

VIDEO SUBMISSION DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 15TH @ 11:59PM EDT.

REGISTRATION & GUIDELINES:

GUIDELINES:

1) Record your best 6-minute video as a one take (no editing).

2) You must show your face at least once during the video.

3) There are no restrictions on equipment besides what is outlined here BUT external samplers, sequencers, samplers, keyboards are NOT permitted. You may utilize turntables, CDJs or a midi controller (with platters) for this competition BUT you will have to be prepared to use turntables and a mixer at the 2023 Pioneer DJ Canadian National DMC DJ Championships. Phase is permitted when used in conjunction with turntables.

4) Submit your video privately to DMC Canada via an online file transfer service (www.wetransfer.com). Do not post your video publicly. DMC Canada will release the videos after the 2023 Pioneer DJ Canadian National DMC DJ Championships. All videos should be sent to Canada@DMCWorld.com.

5) Our judging panel will review the videos privately. The Top 3 DJs will be announced SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15TH , 2023.

PRIZING: The Top 3 DJS will be awarded prizes from our generous sponsors.

1st Place will receive transportation support to the 2023 Technics DMC World DMC DJ Championships. *

DISCLAIMER: Prizing CANNOT be shipped to addresses outside of Canada. Transportation assistance WILL NOT be provided to anyone currently residing outside of Canada. Proof of address may be requested.
